Tradescantia Sweetness
Tradescantia ‘Sweetness’
The Pastel Creeper
Tradescantia ‘Sweetness’ is proof that pink doesn’t have to be delicate. With cotton-candy stripes in pastel pink, this trailing plant is a bold little heartbreaker. A cultivar of the classic wandering dude (Tradescantia fluminensis), it originates from South America and brings serious personality to shelves, desks, and hanging pots alike.
-
Light: Loves bright, indirect light to keep its colours popping. Too little, and it starts to fade to green.
-
Water: Water when the top few centimetres of soil are dry. It’s pretty forgiving, but don’t drown it.
-
Humidity: Average household humidity is fine, though it won’t complain about a mist now and then.
-
Pets: Toxic if ingested—those sweet looks come with a warning label for curious pets.
